SB: Cowgirls Journey To Nicholls For SLC Sequence

LAKE CHARLES— McNeese softball (20-9, 4-2 SLC) will look to bounce again from a Southland Conference collection loss towards Northwestern State final weekend when the Cowgirls will journey to Thibodaux this weekend for a three-game collection towards Nicholls (16-12, 4-2 SLC). 

The collection will start with a 6 p.m. single sport on Friday and can conclude with a doubleheader on Saturday slated for a 1 p.m. begin.  All three video games will stream on ESPN+.

McNeese, winners of 5 of its final seven video games dropped two of three video games at Northwestern State final weekend.  Nicholls have gained 4 of its final 5 video games and are coming off a 10-0 run-rule shutout towards Alcorn on Tuesday evening.

The Cowgirls enter the collection with the third highest group batting common within the SLC (.316).  Nicholls comes into the collection with a .282 common, fifth finest within the league.

Nyjah Fontenot is one among 5 Cowgirls batting over .300.  Fontenot has been swinging a sizzling bat and at present leads the group with a .402 common, 39 hits, seven homeruns, 27 RBI, and 29 runs scored.
