We have been kicked out of the world’s greatest gaming convention each single day for a whole week. Here’s what occurred.

By Day 2, folks have been already coming as much as us like “I’ve seen you guys everywhere,” the billboard truck, the donut van, the electrolyte goodie baggage.

Then safety kicked us out of Moscone for handing out goodie baggage. We moved outdoors with donuts. Kicked out once more. On a public avenue.

That evening there was a live performance at Moscone. When it ended and lots of of individuals poured out, we stood on the exit and shouted “FREE DONUTS.” We ought to have introduced 10x the quantity.

Day 3, safety photographed our badges and informed us they’d block us if we tried to enter. Meanwhile, folks have been messaging our crew at 10am asking to order a donut.

The better part? One of the GDC guys who kicked us out that day took a goodie bag himself and informed us they have been “cute.”

Day 4, safety informed us that if we saved exhibiting up, our firm could be completely blacklisted from GDC. Our drivers began handing out donuts from the van window whereas caught in site visitors. Nobody requested them to.

Day 5, the organisers had known as safety to come back file our crew doing the giveaway on a public avenue. Our bravest crew member walked as much as them to ask “is there a problem? we are on a public street” to which the guard simply goes, “we’re just messengers here”.

By the top of the week, Ruby Wang and Ivy Wong from our crew have been often called “the donut girls.” We had folks setting alarms and chasing us down for half-hour only for a donut.

We got here to GDC and not using a sales space, however we hand-painted a truck and crammed it with donuts ⏭️ left with extra conversations than we might comply with up on, and hosted an occasion that one way or the other hit 600+ RSVPs.
