The 2026 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Nuveen People’s Choice Award has been received by Josef Stefan, for his unimaginable {photograph} of a younger lynx gleefully throwing its prey into the air in Ciudad Real, Spain.

Highly counseled pictures from this 12 months’s competitors embrace two bear cubs enjoying in the midst of a highway and a grotesque shot of a sika deer carrying the severed head of a rival male.

The winner and 4 runners-up can be showcased on the voting screens within the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition on the Natural History Museum, London, till the exhibition closes on Sunday 12 July 2026.

The People’s Choice Award is run by Wildlife Photographer of the Year on the Natural History Museum, London, and is supported by Lead Corporate Sponsor, Nuveen.
