Broncos Battle Bulls to 4-3 Victory

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Western Michigan males’s tennis staff took down Mid-American Conference leaders Buffalo, 4-3, at Sorensen Courts on Thursday afternoon. 

The Broncos (11-9, 4-2 MAC) began off incomes the doubles level. UB took the benefit with a win at No. 3, however WMU responded with a 6-4 win by Alex Antonopoulos and Oscar Corwin at No. 1 towards Theodoris Mistakos and Clement Mainguy. Ashton Adesoro and Jack Davison clinched the purpose shortly after with a 6-4 win at No. 2 over Michael Malkin and Onder Balci. 

Buffalo tied it up with a 6-3, 6-3 win by Balci over Antonopoulos at No. 2 after which took a 2-1 lead 6-1, 6-2 win by Faiz Nasyam over Davison at No. 6. The remaining 4 matches needed to be determined in three units. Corwin tied the match up at 2-2 with a 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4 over Minjae Kim. The Broncos pushed forward, 3-2, after Chen-Hui Ho picked up a 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 win over Emiliano Jorquera at No. 5. Adesoro then clinched the match victory for the Broncos in a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 over Mistakos. 

Western Michigan returns to motion on Saturday, internet hosting Toledo at 1 p.m.
