MADISON, Wis. — The No. 18-ranked University of Michigan ladies’s tennis staff rolled to its seventh straight win, shutting out Wisconsin, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon (March 29) at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Michigan received the doubles level behind wins at No. 1 and No. 3. At the highest spot, Jessica Bernales and Lily Jones picked up a 6-3 win as the primary match to complete.

U-M’s No. 3 pair of Piper Charney and Emily Sartz-Lunde clinched the doubles level for the maize and blue for a second straight match with a 6-4 win at No. 3. The pair rallied from an early gap to place the primary level on the board for Michigan.

Michigan received 5 first units in singles motion, retaining the momentum from doubles alive. 

Emily Sartz-Lunde, who had clinched Michigan’s final three matches, was the primary off courtroom to increase the result in 2-0 with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 5.

Reese Miller adopted with a 6-2, 6-3 win of her personal at No. 3, pushing Michigan’s result in 3-0. Miller went up a break at 4-2 within the second set and saved it the remainder of the way in which to get the win.
