Delaney Schwab

Asheville High | Sr.

Events: 100 backstroke, 500 free

Schwab gained the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 6A state championship within the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.53. She had one of the best 500 free time of any WNC swimmer with a 5:16.62 within the January Snowflake Disco.

Emma Kjar

Asheville Christian Academy | Sophomore

Event: 100 breaststroke

Kjar completed second within the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.38.

Ruby Leis

Reynolds | Sophomore

Event: 100 free

Leis had the second-best WNC time within the 100 free this season, recording a 57.49 on Dec. 17.

Jasmin Kondal

Roberson | Sophomore

Events: 100 fly, 200 IM

Kondal completed sixth within the 100 fly on the NCHSAA 6A state championship with a time of 58.30. She recorded a sixth-place end on the 6A state championship within the 200 particular person medley. She additionally had one of the best time in WNC for that occasion with a 2:14.39.

Julia Sherrill

Brevard | Senior

Event: 50 free

Sherrill gained the NCHSAA 4A state championship with a time of 24.12. That time was the fifteenth finest within the state this season.

Molly Goforth

The Blues completed second within the Division II state championship with a time of three:49.38.

Event: 200-yard free relay

Swimmers: Mary Wilkie, So.; Bay Allebach, Sr.; Emma Kjar, So.; Molly Goforth, So.

The Lions gained the Division II state title in a time of 1:44.55.

Asheville School

Event: 200-yard medley

Swimmers: Gillian McCormick, Sr.; Alice Welder, Jr.; Lucy Lynam, Jr; Eloise Durham, Sr.

The Blues gained the Division II state championship, handing over a time of 1:53.63.

Coach of the yr

Brevard

The Blue Devils earned a third-place end on the NCHSAA 4A state championship. Brevard’s 200 medley and 200 free relay groups completed third and second at state. Julia Sherrill gained a state title within the 50 free and was the runner-up within the 100 free.
