How Twinsdntbeg began pictures

Ghanaian photographers, Twinsdntbeg, have opened up about how their pictures journey started, a narrative rooted in curiosity, persistence, and well timed help.

In an interview with GhanaWeb’s Elsie Lamar on Talkertainment, twin brothers Samuel and Emmanuel Appiah Gyan revealed that their artistic path didn’t initially begin with pictures.

Prior to discovering their ardour behind the digicam, they had been concerned in different artistic fields, together with music and appearing.

Recounting their early beginnings, the duo defined that their curiosity in pictures was sparked between 2014 and 2015 after they had the chance to work on a film set. While aiding each the cinematographer and director, they grew to become fascinated by the cameras, lighting, and technical processes.

“We got the opportunity to work on a film set in 2014–2015. Watching how they used the cameras and lighting intrigued us. My brother was assisting the cinematographer, who was a world-renowned producer, and I was assisting the director,” they recalled.

Their curiosity led them to always ask questions on lighting and framing, step by step deepening their understanding.

After two months on set, their curiosity had developed into a real ardour for pictures. Determined to pursue it, they tried to purchase a digicam being bought by the producer’s youthful brother, however couldn’t afford it.

Fortunately, one in all their superiors stepped in and bought the digicam for them, recognizing their dedication.

“The camera was selling at £50, which was a lot in 2014. Owriss really loved us because of how we helped on set, so he bought the camera for us,” they stated.

That single act of generosity marked the true starting of their pictures journey.

Today, Twinsdntbeg has grown into one in all Ghana’s most acknowledged pictures manufacturers. They famous that their identify serves as a continuing reminder to remain disciplined and uphold their values.
