The annual PAX East conference is thrilling for all avid players, particularly the Clarkies who have been capable of exhibit initiatives they’ve labored on all through the educational yr.

PAX East celebrates gaming in all its varieties, from electronics to tabletop play. Held March 26-29, 1000’s of individuals packed the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston to see new sport demos and attend instructional panels.

For college students within the Becker School of Design & Technology, the exposition was a chance to showcase unique video games to most of the people. Among the video games on present was “I Dream of Saturday,” a venture that features mock commercials, commercials, and mini video games all performed with a cable distant on a cathode ray tube (CRT) TV. 

“We wanted to bring interactive experiences to art spaces. Along the way, we came up with the idea to fully emulate the act of flipping through TV channels 20 years ago,” says Chase Soucy ’26, who leads the “I Dream of Saturday” venture.
