What do you name a photographer with no digicam? I name him Shadi Damree…

For the previous 12 months, the digicam has taken me into boardrooms, occasions, and areas I would not have entered in any other case. But the private work, the photographs I took for myself, has stayed with me privately.

But as my schedule crammed and shopper relationships pale, I began transferring away from it too. And from March, it sounds bizarre to say however I’m now a photographer with no digicam.

Before I used to be within the occasions area of interest, photographing occasions for 5-6 determine organisations, I used to be photographing the road, nature, and the small print the general public would usually ignore. I used to be entered into competitors, quietly received awards, however merely noticed it as a ‘small ardour.’

I took my digicam in every single place. Even to locations I’ll not see for some time. One of those locations. Mauritius.

Mauritius was the final time I shot purely for the love of it. No transient, no shopper, no agenda. Just streets, individuals, and no matter caught my eye. Pure avenue pictures.

I’m unsure when I’ll return. But the photographs are nonetheless there.

So I’m going to begin sharing them right here.

One at a time, with the story behind every shot. What I observed, what I used to be making an attempt to seize, and what the picture says past the body. All pictures captured on a digicam 20 years previous.
