Hokies generate momentum late in loss to No. 13 Notre Dame Saturday afternoon

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech lacrosse fell to the thirteenth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 13-9, Saturday afternoon. The loss brings the group 8-7 total and 2-6 in ACC play. 

The Hokies’ offense was held scoreless for 13 minutes till sophomore Sarah Murrell discovered the online for the squad’s first purpose of the sport.

Catherine Karman discovered a niche within the Irish protection underneath a minute into the second quarter for Tech’s second purpose. Lauren Render scored off of a feed by Ally Phalines with 5 minutes remaining within the half, leaving the Hokies trailing 10-3 on the break.
