Hong Kong bar maestro Jay Khan swaps cocktails for cameras for his first picture exhibition

As the power behind two of Hong Kong’s most revered craft cocktail bars – Coa and The Savory Project – Jay Khan is saved busy sufficient along with his day, or somewhat, evening job and is probably one of many final folks you’ll count on to get a facet gig.

However, as a self-described “very restless person”, he bought one anyway.

In March, lower than six years after shopping for his first digital camera in 2020, he unveiled his first-ever images exhibition, “Pouring Shadow”, at Sin Sin Fine Art, an unbiased gallery in Hong Kong’s Wong Chuk Hang neighbourhood.

What few folks know is that his curiosity in images began earlier than he launched these common cocktail joints. In truth, there’s a sense of coming full circle between his bartending and images.
