A California man arrested in reference to a hit-and-run in Biscayne Bay that injured a swimmer over the weekend has been launched from jail, in line with Florida officers.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the unidentified 21-year-old lady was swimming in Biscayne Bay close to Miami Marine Stadium when she was hit by a private watercraft (PWC) round 7 p.m. Saturday evening.

The FWC stated the watercraft’s operator, who was recognized as 34-year-old Andy Vences, a boxer from the San Francisco Bay space, did nothing to assist the sufferer after the incident after which fled the world with out contacting authorities.

As the investigation continued, officers stated they had been in a position to receive video and communicate with witnesses that helped determine Vences.

“There is no excuse for leaving the scene of an accident,” Miami-Dade County Area Capt. Rafael Almargo stated in an announcement. “I am pleased that officers were able to apprehend the subject so that he can be held responsible.”

Vences was arrested and brought to jail on a felony cost of leaving the scene of an accident with out rendering help, however he has since been launched.

This weekend’s incident that injured a swimmer in Biscayne Bay is only one of many incidents reported over the previous few weeks.
