The Kettering gamer bar “D20 : A Bar with Characters” has closed.


D20: A Bar with Characters in Kettering has completely closed its doorways, co-owner Andrew Sparks confirmed to the Dayton Daily News.

“We had a great run,” stated Sparks. “We love the community. We’ve tried really hard to keep the doors open.”

Andrew Sparks and Christine Cooper opened the board game-themed bar in 2016, inside an area previously housing a girls’s health heart and a cellphone retailer. The essential attraction of D20 was its huge assortment of board video games, which guests were able to play while enjoying craft beer and other drinks.

Bitter Blossom Teapothecary, a tea store which Sparks and Cooper opened next door in 2023, will even completely shut.

No bulletins have been made concerning this choice on social media, with D20 being open all through early April.
