Texas Longhorns head diving coach and five-time U.S. Olympic diving coach Matt Scoggin (BSW ’87) will ship the keynote tackle at The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Social Work’s 2026 graduation ceremony.
Scoggin credit his athletics success to the worldview and expertise he gained as a social work graduate — making him a pure match as UT Social Work’s graduation speaker.
“I am deeply honored to be addressing the 2026 graduates of the School of Social Work,” stated Coach Matt Scoggin. “A degree in social work is one of the most compassionate, caring degrees on a college campus. As director of the Longhorns’ males’s and ladies’s diving program and head diving coach for greater than 30 years, Scoggin has guided divers to 12 NCAA National Championship Team titles, 23 particular person NCAA championships and 114 particular person convention titles.
