The 2026 Farmscape Juried Exhibition celebrates the work of 13 Denison University college students who’ve spent a semester studying concerning the American meals system by the lens of a digicam. After visits to eight completely different websites, together with two dairy farms, an Amish mill, greenhouse operation, produce distribution middle, meat processing facility, espresso roastery, and our personal Huffman Dining Hall, every scholar submitted his or her personal greatest work. Out of 130 pictures, Maciejunes chosen 40 to be included within the exhibition, maximizing picture high quality, course thematic components, and scholar illustration within the present.

“Photography is the ubiquitous medium of the contemporary world,” mentioned Maciejunes. “It has always been tempting to think of photography as an objective medium — that the photograph simply records what the camera sees, that human agency is minimized. A project and exhibition such as this reminds us that nothing could be further from the truth.”
