Racing & Gaming Commission suspends Fonner Park coach for one 12 months over substances

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A Fonner Park coach has been suspended for 1 12 months by the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission after a horse examined optimistic for a prohibited substance.

According to the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission, on Feb. 14, Anderson was the coach for a five-year-old mare named “Goldies Claim,” which raced at Fonner Park that day.

The NRGC mentioned on March 5, a laboratory reported an evaluation confirmed the presence of albuterol – a prohibited substance – in a urine pattern collected from Goldies Claim.

The NRGC mentioned Anderson despatched the pattern to a separate laboratory, which confirmed the opposite lab’s evaluation.

The NRGC mentioned on March 6, legislation enforcement investigators with the fee positioned a needle and syringe in a tack room at Fonner Park.

In an order dated April 9, the NRGC suspended Anderson’s license for one 12 months and fined him $500.

No further remark from Fonner Park CEO Chris Kotulak, who mentioned the group had no official assertion and referred remark to the NRGC.
