Seniors Caleb Voytek, Jared Marsitch, and Josh Beisner, creators of ISO Collective, In Search Of Collective, have constructed an artwork collective devoted to creating alternatives that elevate rising photographers. The group consists of Jared Marsitch, Head Curator and Exhibition Designer, Caleb Voytek as Chief Director and Head Designer, and Josh Beisner as Music Curator and Production Manager.

The trio lately curated a one-night juried exhibition titled Sight and Sound at 309 Victoria Street in Glassboro. The exhibition introduced collectively 20 artists for a multisensory expertise merging images and sound. “So the idea started with us being in Professor Jenny Drumgoogles class for a different group project. I aspire to be a curator, so I thought it’s time to curate, find those spaces and people with like-minded minds,” mentioned Marsitch. “It was a slow process at first, piecing this together, finding each other as friends that we are now, but at the time, we used my partner Josh’s space, the piano room. So the thought of curating in the piano room and driving home listening to J.Cole’s new album really influenced the Sight and Sound idea.”

Marsitch emphasised the interplay between sound and images, merging them into a brand new sort of expertise impressed partially by J. Cole’s artistry. The group additionally targeted on elevating the venture by intentional particulars, together with deciding on songs themselves, relatively than permitting artists to decide on, including a playful dimension to every piece.

“I feel as a group, there is definitely a great level of balance with one another, small details that one of us won’t think to include, the other would add, which makes it all the more wonderful. Without the three of us putting this together wouldn’t have been possible. Putting together both music and photos just creates a special moment, a special event for people to really enjoy and brings everyone together,” mentioned Marsitch. “Creating safer spaces for everyone to have a nice time was crucial, and the outcome was excellent, from fellow artists to Rowan’s community, with headphones fully engaged through both imagery and music, creating a new perspective altogether.”

Caleb Voytek echoed comparable concepts, emphasizing interplay and tangibility.

“I really wanted to build a community based on photography, and even if someone isn’t in the program, to maintain that interaction. I am the Chief Curator. I oversaw everything that we were doing as a group and organization,” mentioned Voytek. “Along with finding ideas for how we will make this possible, I wanted something we can hold, and that was tangible. So we then turned that into a CD that we sold at the event and Startup Gallery. I designed all the posters, ran Instagram, Josh helped print, but I was in charge of printing.”

The group emphasised the significance of collaboration and their complementary strengths.

“We all have different talents and excel in different things. Without the three, I don’t think it would look and do as well as it’s been doing so far,” mentioned Voytek.

Josh Beisner’s connection to artwork started early and advanced by each music and images. His appreciation for all genres is mirrored in Sight and Sound.

“I have always been attracted to art, and I’ve been interested in various facets of it. Around sophomore year of high school, I became really immersed in it, and then at Rowan, I started taking photography classes and just fell in love with it,” mentioned Beisner. I additionally love all genres of music, which ties into my position as Music Curator; music manufacturing is certainly a ardour of mine. I began taking part in piano at age seven, picked up drums, and now I’m studying guitar.”

Beisner defined how his artistic journey developed from restricted assets into one thing extra refined.

“I started out using GarageBand, which was really about making the most out of nothing. Eventually, that grew into working with better software and investing in full programs. It’s become a great creative outlet,” mentioned Beisner.

Drawing from their shared ardour for music and visible artwork, ISO Collective developed Sight and Sound to problem conventional exhibition codecs. Rather than presenting images as a static expertise, the group created an surroundings the place sound actively shapes notion. The exhibition explores how music influences the emotional tone, narrative, and that means of photographic work, whereas redefining how audiences interact with up to date images.
