Swim and Dive Inok Claire Parsons – University of Nebraska

Head Coach Pablo Morales announced the signing of Claire Parsons to the Nebraska women’s swimming and diving team in late April. 

Parsons spent her first three years at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind. where she earned two spots on the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete team (2025, 2026). The kinesiology major is also the conference’s record holder in the 1,000 freestyle from her time against Butler and Ball State in February of 2025 where she swam a 9:46.34. 

Helping her team to back-to-back MVC Championships, Parsons added a runner-up finish in the 1,650 free through a time of 16:40.13 in late February. She additionally competed in the 500 free (4th, 4:52.93) and the 200 free (7th, 1:49.48), helping her team to a total score of 1,236. 

The Terre Haute, Ind., native holds a lifetime best in the 1,650 free from her swim at the 2024 Miami Invitational, where she received a CSCAA A cut time of 16:31.28 to win the event title. 

The next year, the seasoned swimmer took second at the Miami Invitational with a career best time of 4:46.65. 

In her junior season, she took a duo of silver medals at the Miami Invitational in the 500 free (4:47.83) and the 1,650 free (16:34.29).The rising senior will join Meredith Peyton (Nebraska), Mylie Bradley (Oklahoma), Dominika Borkowska (Poland), Georgia Holgate (Great Britain), Jana Härtel (Germany) and Majdouline Zahir (Turkey) as a newcomer for the 2026-27 season.
