PABLO — A nonprofit on the Flathead Reservation is celebrating 20 years of serving to college students inform their tales via a lens.
Art, Vision and Outreach in Community — often known as “A Voice” — was based by David Spear, who has spent 20 years visiting faculties like Two Eagle River School and giving cameras to college students. The program is funded by donors and grants.

“I like to see something in the environment that some people don’t normally see,” Lamoose mentioned.
“I definitely found myself in a sense. It’s made me look closer to details in nature,” Trahan-Usher mentioned.
The program’s influence reaches far past the reservation.
Student work has been displayed in New York, museums and photograph festivals.
But these younger photographers are additionally documenting their group’s historical past one click on at a time.
“Twenty years in the community and we have this archive of images from young people in this community,” Spear mentioned.
A Voice says it hopes to proceed its work and lift funds to help the subsequent era of pupil photographers.
