Alejandro Cartagena. Floor Guidelines | Tourism Madrid

The Recoletos Hall on the MAPFRE Foundation will host an exhibition from 6 June to 30 August specializing in the work of the Dominican photographer resident in Mexico, Alejandro Cartagena, in collaboration with the San Francisco Museum of Art. Visitors will have the ability to discover the work of an artist who showcases the complicated actuality of Mexico, together with migration, housing, the border with the United States or the city transformation, amongst different matters.

Throughout his prolific profession, Alejandro Cartagena has constructed up a physique of labor that defies the normal idea of the “decisive moment,” to decide to seriality and the multiplicity of views because the cornerstones of his work via a crucial and humanistic eye.
