Join ICP on May 16 and 17 for Opening Weekend at Photoville. Photoville is a free, open-air picture pageant targeted on amplifying the voices of visible storytellers and creating distinctive and progressive exhibitions.
Photoville 2026 will kick off at Brooklyn Bridge Park on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 with Opening Weekend, a jam-packed two days of workshops, artist-led strolling excursions, and different actions for the entire household.

ICE in Communities presents current work by Jeenah Moon and Yuki Iwamura. Both are alumni of the ICP’s full-time program in Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program. Recently they’ve been documenting the tensions dropped at neighborhood life by brokers from ICE (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Jeenah has been in Little Village, a densely populated neighborhood on Chicago’s Southwest Side, photographing for Reuters. Yuki was in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, for the Associated Press.

ICP at THE POINT: The Shape of Our Stories is an exhibition of images by college students from ICP’s partnership with THE POINT CDC. Based within the South Bronx and launched in 1997, this system is a year-round collaboration that teaches analog and digital pictures, essential pondering, writing, and public talking with the aim of fostering shallowness, neighborhood growth, and social change. The program consists of weekly after-school courses for preteens, teenagers, and younger adults, which happen in each bodily and digital school rooms/studios/darkrooms in addition to a gallery house. This exhibition celebrates native voices honoring the individuals, locations, and issues that hold us uplifted in our on a regular basis lives.
11:00 AM–1:30 PM Hone your road pictures abilities with a hands-on picture stroll throughout the Brooklyn Bridge! In this picture making exercise, we are going to meet at ICP on the Lower East Side and stroll downtown throughout the Brooklyn Bridge, ending at Photoville in Emily Warren Roebling Plaza. While studying primary photographic methods, contributors will use no matter picture making system they’ve (smartphone, iPad, digital camera, and so forth.) to doc what stands out most to them. The picture stroll will final roughly 2 hours and is led by ICP Faculty Hannah La Follette Ryan.
