Patterns, strains, symmetry: Winners of the c’t images competitors introduced

The c’t Fotografie editorial workforce congratulates the winners of the present picture competitors. Under the motto “Frames and Structures”, registered customers of our c’t picture gallery might submit their footage and charge them. The ranking part ended on May 4, 2026, at 12 p.m.

Architecture dominates the sector of individuals

The process of capturing frames and buildings primarily attracted architectural photographers to the competitors. Especially vanishing factors, symmetrically organized columns, and right-angled partitions characterize lots of the submitted motifs. Where folks construct, clear strains emerge – this was significantly evident in virtually all entries.

1st Place: In the MdbK by NAlois

In the huge, light-flooded corridor of the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig, a single individual stands trying up. Above them floats a fragile set up of rectangular frames. Behind it, the glass facade extends to the open metal construction of the roof. The black-and-white illustration emphasizes the strict grid of strains, struts, and surfaces, reworking the structure right into a graphic composition. The polished stone ground displays the brilliant daylight, enhancing the clear, virtually weightless impact.

2nd Place: Passage by Uschi Hermann

The solar, shining from the facet, casts lengthy, darkish shadows throughout the bottom. This creates robust stripes of sunshine and darkish. The repeating arches kind a transparent rhythm and draw the gaze deep into the tunnel.
