NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. Erin Cammann will retire after she served as the pinnacle coach of the Merrimack College ladies’s swimming and diving program for greater than a decade.

Cammann, who took over at Merrimack in 2015, has spent greater than 25 years as a swimming coach and served at practically each stage.

 

“We are grateful for Erin’s tenure and impact as the head coach of the Merrimack women’s swimming and diving program,” Merrimack athletic director Joe Foley mentioned. “We wish her nothing but the best in her next chapter.”

Cammann added: “I’ve loved being at Merrimack and am so grateful to have been part of the lives of a spectacular group Merrimack students-athletes. The college, the athletic department, and the team itself have transformed over the course of my time here, and I am very proud to have been a part of that growth. I will forever be cheering for all of the Merrimack teams, but especially for the swimmers and divers to come. Go Warriors!”

Merrimack will start a nationwide seek for a brand new head coach.

During her tenure on the helm of this system, Cammann and the Warriors reached the 2022 NE-10 Championships and she or he has helped numerous swimmers set program information. During a memorable 2017-18 marketing campaign, Cammann orchestrated this system’s first-ever senior day meet, helped Merrimack host its first-ever residence meet, and led the Warriors to a sixth-place end on the NE-10 Championships.
