Swimming & Diving Program Pronounces Workforce Award Winners

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College swimming & diving groups introduced their 2025-26 award winners on April 23 throughout this system’s annual season-ending group dinner. Ten student-athletes claimed group awards as the varsity 12 months attracts to an in depth.

Junior Bella Lombard ’27 was the recipient of The Luciani Award. Named for Cindi Luciani ’91, this award honors the ladies’s Most Valuable Student-Athlete in twin and championship meet competitors as voted by group members and training employees. 

Freshman Jake Stachowicz ’29 was the recipient of The Bowden Award. Named for Horace Bowden ’89, this award honors the boys’s Most Valuable Student-Athlete in twin and championship meet competitors, as voted by the teaching employees and group members.

Freshmen Myranda Parker ’29  and Ivan Reber ’29 had been acknowledged because the O’Neill Family Award recipients. Established in 2008 and named for Head Coach John O’Neill, the O’Neill Family Award honors probably the most helpful female and male freshmen athletes in meet competitions, as voted on by the group and training employees. 

Junior Rory Sheridan ’27 was acknowledged with the Clara Lamore Walker Award, and senior Nico Menendez-Featherston ’26 took dwelling the Jan and Brian Larkin Award. These awards acknowledge the feminine and male athletes who’ve improved probably the most through the season, as voted on by the group and training employees.

The Hardy Award went to a few student-athletes – Elizabeth Burke ’27, Natalia Robak ’27 and Quinn Schwab ’27. Named for David Hardy ’89, this award honors the female and male student-athletes who exhibit these qualities which Hardy dropped at the swimming and diving group: loyalty, dedication, good sportsmanship and excellent effort within the pool and within the classroom. 

Kara Dixon ’26 claimed the Sears Award. Named for Patrick Sears ’88 and Kevin Sears ’93, this award honors the diver, who chosen by the teaching employees, made an impressive contribution to the game of diving at Providence College.

Dixon additionally was the recipient of The Greg Lamoreaux Award, which is known as in honor of the late Greg Lamoreaux, father of former Friar swimmer Kelly Lamoreaux ’13. The award acknowledges a senior member (or members) of this system who raised probably the most funds to help Swim Across America and made a big fundraising impression.
