A mishap throughout a snowmobile marriage ceremony close to Smoot, Wyoming, ended up on “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” a wedding memory that’s on the internet forever.
Patricia Veronda Naumoff, a wedding planner and “adventure officiant” in Teton County, planned a snowmobile wedding shoot for a magazine in April 2025.
One of the outtakes from that shoot was so hilarious, she decided it might be worth submitting to ABC’s long-running television clip show.
“I filmed it on my phone, and just had to send it in,” Naumoff said. “I was blown away that they actually aired it.”
Naumoff’s business, Satin N Sage Event Planning, specializes in weddings and bridal photography shoots for “adventurous couples who find solace and joy in the great outdoors.”
“That’s my passion, which is why I’m titled as ‘the adventure officiant,’” she said. “That’s the reason we pulled this photo shoot together.”
In April 2025, Naumoff organized a snowmobile wedding shoot for publication in a magazine on her social media account. She decided the most photogenic spot was Smith’s Fork, just south of Smoot, Wyoming, in Bridger-Teton National Forest.
“I wanted to recruit a real couple getting married on the mountain and taking them up with snowmobiles,” she said. “That was one of the key things that I wanted to market.”
Photographer Abbey Morales was enlisted for the photography.
“It started out with a fun snowmobile ride to a great open meadow on a beautiful day,” Morales said. “Once we started the photos, a little accident happened.”
The real couple Naumoff found for the shoot were Red and Bailey Clark.
The experienced snowmobilers were already married, so they agreed to revisit their nuptials and dress up for the special shoot near Smoot.
Everyone rode their snowmobiles to Smith’s Fork on April 5, 2025. They couldn’t have asked for a better day.
“It was a beautiful day,” Naumoff said. “We had Bailey in a beautiful dress and bouquet, and she and Red were riding their own snowmobiles. They’re both excellent drivers, so they were the perfect couple for this shoot.”
At Naumoff’s direction, Morales got several shots of the Clarks riding snowmobiles in their wedding attire.
At one point, they decided to get some shots of the couple on the same snowmobile, cruising through the meadow, doing wheelies, and launching off some snowbanks.
During one of these single-snowmobile shots, Red was driving while Bailey stood behind him. That’s when the hilarious outtake happened.
“They looped around, and I guess Red hit a bump and she toppled over, head over heels,” Naumoff said. “I happened to be filming on my phone when it happened.”
Fortunately, Bailey was uninjured. After collecting themselves and having a good laugh over what happened, they resumed the shoot without incident.
“When we were packing up, someone mentioned we should submit the video to ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos,’” Morales said.
Naumoff took the offhanded suggestion and ran with it. She immediately submitted the video to “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (AMHV).
“I had to give it a title,” Naumoff stated. “I called it, ‘That Was a Short Marriage.’”
Naumoff additionally had to offer an attractive description to seize the AFHV crew’s consideration. She determined to lean in on the absurdity.
“We have several videos leading up to this, but we can’t stop laughing, especially if you slow this video down, and our model with her legs straight up was a hoot,” she wrote.
Naumoff was additionally certain to incorporate the all-important disclaimer that “no one was injured in the making of this video.”
With that, Naumoff submitted the video on-line and waited to see what occurred. She obtained a response from the AFHV crew inside 30 days.
“I was surprised by how soon they contacted me,” she said. “They don’t make any commitments that videos are going to be aired, but they said there was a possibility ours would be aired during a marriage segment. I was tickled by it.”
It was several months before Naumoff got another message from AFHV.
“I got a notification that said, ‘I think you’re going to be on Nov. 9,” she said.
The Clarks’ snowmobile marriage ceremony shoot outtake was included in Episode 6 of AFHV’s 36th season. “Matrimonial Mayhem, Pranksters, and Snow Snafus” aired on Nov. 9, 2025.
Seeing as the Clarks’ snowmobile wedding was matrimonial mayhem and a snow snafu, it was the perfect choice. When Bailey and Red appeared, AFHV host Alfonso Ribeiro let the video speak for itself.
Mostly.
“I guess they don’t have limos wherever they live,” he quipped.
Wyoming has limos, of course, but it’d be difficult to drive one up to Smith’s Fork, let alone when there’s snow on the ground.
Ultimately, the video wasn’t selected as a finalist in that episode. It wasn’t eligible for the $4,000, $6,000, or $20,000 prizes.
Still, laughter and a moment of national notoriety are their own reward. Naumoff, Morales, and the Clarks got together for a premiere party at Naumoff’s home the night the episode aired.
“We laughed so hard, again,” Morales said.
AFHV regularly posts clips and compilations of its submissions on social media, so it’s entirely possible the Clarks’ snowmobile wedding shoot will appear on feeds worldwide in the future.
And they didn’t walk away from the AFHV experience completely empty-handed. Naumoff said they got a small something in the mail.
“They gave us one T-shirt,” she said. “I guess that’s a fair exchange.”
