Charleston Greek Fest kicks off 3-day occasion with meals, enjoyable

CHARLESTON — Greek sounds and smells permeated the air in and across the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity as the Lowcountry’s oldest meals competition kicked off May 8.

Celebrating its fifty fifth 12 months, the annual Charleston Greek Festival has, in years previous, drawn over 35,000 individuals visiting the church’s 30 Race St. house for the occasion. 

Attendees of the three-day competition at Holy Trinity, which held the primary Greek Orthodox service in Charleston in 1908, will be capable to have fun Greek tradition and luxuriate in genuine delicacies, conventional music, vigorous dancing and extra.
