Minister Anand to journey to Brussels for the High-Level Meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, immediately introduced that she’s going to journey to Brussels, Belgium, the place she’s going to co-chair the High-Level Meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children on May 11.

The coalition, which contains 49 members, together with states and worldwide organizations, helps the secure return and reintegration of Ukrainian kids unlawfully deported or forcibly transferred by Russia. Minister Anand will co-chair the assembly alongside Kaja Kallas, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission; Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement; and Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The high-level assembly will advance worldwide efforts to strengthen coordination inside the coalition and help Ukraine’s work to hint, return and reintegrate affected Ukrainian kids. Discussions will even give attention to guaranteeing accountability for these violations, together with Russia’s systematic efforts to hide the identities and whereabouts of youngsters, and the long-term rehabilitation and reintegration help that kids and households want following their return.

While in Brussels, Minister Anand will even meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, in addition to senior officers from the European Union and Ukraine, to debate shared safety priorities and ongoing help for Ukraine.
