NASHUA, NH – Last yr at our inaugural Family STEM Day occasion, we had properly over 1,000 guests with greater than 40 hands-on actions and interactive displays with 23 organizations. We are going to do that once more! We’d love you to be part of this yr’s enjoyable!
Our 2nd Family STEM Day is developing very quickly! This occasion will have fun and spotlight our group and its mission of selling STEM initiatives taking place in our group.
Open to households, college students, and group members of all ages, Family STEM Day is a chance for organizations to focus on their mission and work, have interaction with households, and encourage future generations of scientists, engineers, and innovators. We can have a number of hands-on displays, interactive demonstrations and plenty of huge and small methods STEM is a part of our lives.
We might be showcasing applications which have benefited from basis help, together with: the Adult Learning Center’s Xploration Program, the United Way of Greater Nashua’s Wee Read initiative along with many others. Gloria McCarthy, co-founder of BSMM, stated, “We are thrilled beyond words by the number of organizations willing to contribute their time and energy in support of the Brian S McCarthy Foundation’s Family STEM Day. This event is not only a celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math—it is a deeply personal way for us to honor and share Brian’s many passions with the community that he served for so many years.”

ABOUT The Brian S. McCarthy Memorial Foundation:
The Brian S. McCarthy Memorial Foundation was established in March 2019 in reminiscence of the late Nashua Alderman-at-Large, in recognition of his devotion to Nashua’s training, and his affinity for the sciences and arithmetic. Our mission is to advertise training in STEM and to offer alternatives to Nashua highschool college students looking for to additional their training in a STEM-based program. Since our founding, we now have funded over $104,341 in scholarships, grants, and donations, impacted 1,760 college students, awarded 26 scholarships, supported 38 initiatives, served 21 Nashua, N.H. colleges and organizations.
