Obsession, a brand new supernatural horror film, presents a contemporary tackle the “be careful what you wish for” trope by means of a twisted romance.
The story follows Bear, who makes use of a mysterious merchandise known as a “One Wish Willow” to make his longtime crush, Nikki, fall in love with him. What begins as a happily-ever-after fantasy quickly spirals into obsession.

“With Obsession, I wanted to tell a story about how far someone’s fixation on another person can go,” says author and director Curry Barker. “At what level does one thing we name love cease being love? And past that, what does the phrase ‘love’ even imply?
“I needed to take a narrative we’ve all seen earlier than – a want story – and floor it in the true world, flipping it on its head to make one thing fully new. I like placing bizarre folks in extraordinary circumstances, however what issues simply as a lot is that each character reacts in pure, plausible methods.
“I want people leaving the theatre still talking – arguing over how they felt, what they would have done differently, and whether what they saw was love or obsession.”
Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette star as Bear and Nikki, whereas Cooper Tomlinson and Megan Lawless play Ian and Sara.
