Description

The Integrative and Lifestyle Fellowship is a 12-month postgraduate program on the Osher Center for Integrative Health within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The Fellowship is devoted to coaching nurse practitioners and doctor assistants to offer compassionate, integrative, evidence-based integrative and life-style medication for the prevention and therapy of continual illness. Fellows will achieve scientific expertise working with an interdisciplinary crew that focuses on integrative and life-style administration of well being. Fellows will study to carry out an integrative and life-style seek the advice of, facilitate medical group visits, and interdisciplinary crew administration and collaborative care with bodily therapists, psychologists, therapeutic massage therapists, acupuncturists, yoga and t’ai chi instructors. Fellows will obtain coaching and mentorship from doctor and nurse practitioner colleagues within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  

 

Ideal Candidate:  

• Master’s diploma or larger in nursing or doctor assistant research
• National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• TN License/Certificate of Fitness to Prescribe, eligible for NPI and DEA
• Strong curiosity in integrative and life-style practices, together with however not restricted to mind-body medication, acupuncture, and life-style medication Excellent communication, collaboration, and educating expertise.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and the mixing of holistic approaches in a scientific setting.

 

Time Commitment: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027
