First issues first: I missed Feeble Little Horse on account of dawdling, however my photographers didn’t (see gallery for proof). At least one swears I’ll like them and I vow to hear sooner or later. You have to take heed to those that introduce you to the great, new stuff. They’re the most effective. 

Even the point out of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah brings up reminiscences of driving to Boulder in a snowstorm over a decade in the past to see that band and Architecture in Helsinki play in an previous theater. It was superb. So was seeing them on Saturday, nonetheless sounding each bit as distinctive now as they did then. Nostalgia, however with a twist.

Seeing Ben Kweller immediately after that (and, sure, that was McLovin on bass) additionally scratched at that itch of yesteryear, a taut set of the previous and new blended. Even in that enormous open-air setting, with extra individuals than I’ve ever seen the band play for, it felt intimate. A blast of crucial pleasure.

Briston Maroney received away with protecting “Champagne Supernova” and it triggered extra heat emotions than was ever anticipated (and he nailed it). The Last Dinner Party was eight shades of pleasant, as was lastly attending to agree with everybody who’s ever really helpful The Moss. And the Utah band sounds nearly as good on stage because it does on the radio. Poised for continued greatness.

Thank you to all for a stunning day spent with lovelier climate. And to Alex G and The xx. People couldn’t cease speaking about both, they usually proved why. An ideal approach to finish a second day and night time, making method for the finale. And, hey, I positive hope you didn’t neglect your jacket.
