Town Proclaims Registration for Summer Swim Lessons – Town of Oyster Bay

Oyster Bay Town Councilman Tom Hand introduced at present that registration for the Town’s Summer Swim Lessons will start on Tuesday, May 26th. Swim classes can be found in any respect Town swimming pools (Syosset-Woodbury Park, Plainview-Old Bethpage Park, Bethpage Community Park and Marjorie Post Park) for youngsters ages 5 to 14, and pool membership is required for registration. Lessons start Monday, June 29th.

Councilman Hand stated, “Because we live in a Town situated between the Long Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean, water safety is an essential for children and families in the Town of Oyster Bay. This is why our swim lesson program has been such a valued community resource for many years – giving children the opportunity to build confidence, learn and improve swimming skills, and safely enjoy the water under the supervision of American Cross-certified lifeguards.”

Each session is 2 weeks in period, Monday by way of Friday, with a complete of 4 periods provided over the course of the summer season. Lessons final 45 minutes every and no make-up classes can be provided.

Session:

Session 1: June 29th– July 10th
Session 2: July 13th– July 24th
Session 3: July 27th– August 7th
Session 4: August 10th– August 21st

Times provided every session embody:

10:45 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.
12:00 p.m.- 12:45 p.m.
3:15 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
4:15 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Registration can be obtainable on-line at www.oysterbaytown.com/sports activities beginning Tuesday, May 26th. Pool membership is required for registration. There is a price of $75 per swimmer for every session.
