RISD’s 2026 Grad Show opens at RI Convention Center. How you can go

Art, design, merchandise, are all on show on the present

PROVIDENCE – The 2026 Rhode Island School of Design Grad Show opened on May 20, with graduating college students filling the Convention Center flooring with daring work, sculptures, installations, merchandise, devices, furnishings and extra.

The free Grad Show stays open, from midday to five p.m. each day, till May 30 at 1 Sabin St., on the second flooring of the conference middle, in halls C and D.

Highlights embody work by jewellery and metalsmith majors, items that straddle the road between jewellery and sculpture, large work and haunting sculptures.

“Highlighting the creativity of students at all stages of the thesis process, from sketches and drafts to completed works, RISD Grad Show 2026 invites viewers to experience an expansive range of exploratory work by emerging artists and designers,” according to a news release on the show. “The work selected represents the culmination of each student’s experience in RISD’s dynamic and diverse graduate programs.”

The Grad Show has 43,000 sq. ft to show the graduating college students’ work, with 2,000 linear ft of wall house, creating gallery areas.

In addition to sculptures, jewellery, work, ceramics and different positive arts are works of design and acritude and product prototypes. Finely crafted, designed and carved furnishings can also be on show, whereas college students are sometimes explaining their work throughout the open hours.
