28 Bison Seize NEC Winter Academic Honors

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (May 29, 2026) – The NEC unveiled its 2025-26 Winter Academic Honors the place Howard University Swimming & Diving noticed 28 Bison acknowledged for his or her educational excellence. The announcement got here Friday afternoon.
 
All 28 Bison made the NEC Academic Honor Roll after incomes a cumulative 3.2 grade level common (GPA).
 
The honorees included Bamidele Aina (Garland, Texas), Jack Barr (Nassau, Bahamas), Ameer Bashir (Hartley, Del.), Mark Brown (Greensboro, N.C.), Iala Cropper (Rochester, N.Y.), Skylar Debnam (Chandler, Ariz.), Adam Diaz (Manhattan, N.Y.), Kali Garcia (Altamonte, Fla.), Rhanishka Gibbs (Nassau, Bahamas), Francoise Hall (Montreal, Canada), Jordan Harrell, Tiara Jackson (Los Angeles), Jonah Jennings (Atlanta), Bianca Johnson (Nassau, Bahamas), Eltonte Leonard, Jasmine Morgan (Chicago), Seannia Norville-Smith (Nassau, Bahamas), Zuilda Nwaeze (Columbia, Md.), Vaughn Peoples-Hobson (Windsor, Conn.), Zachary Randle (Kingston, Jamaica), Jalen Stewart (New Castle, Del.), Zay Swilley (Bradley, Ill.), Ty Triche (Humble, Texas), Gabrielle Vickles (El Dorado, Trinidad & Tobago), Darien Williams (Philadelphia), Jala Wilson (Richmond, Va.), Zion Wilson (San Antonio) and Dallas Young (Raleigh, N.C.).
 
Additionally, 10 Bison had been named to the NEC Commissioner’s Honor Roll after recording a cumulative 3.75 GPA: Bashir; Debnam; Diaz; Hall; Harrell; Nwaeze; Peoples-Hobson; Triche; Vickles and Young.
 
Overall, the league acknowledged 814 student-athletes with 290 making the Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
