WDAY-TV will bid to broadcast two Bison soccer video games – InForum

With North Dakota State’s nationwide tv schedule cemented,

WDAY-TV will bid to broadcast the 2 video games not picked up by the Mountain West Conference’s community companions.

Josh Rohrer, Vice President of Broadcast for Forum Communications Co., mentioned Thursday that WDAY will submit a bid to hold the Bison’s soccer video games in opposition to Fordham on Sept. 5 on the Fargodome and UTEP on Oct. 31 on the dome.

Those have been the one two video games on NDSU’s 12-game schedule that weren’t chosen by FOX, CBS Sports or the CW. The Fordham and UTEP video games are slated to be carried by the Mountain West’s new subscription-based app, MW+, that will likely be launched July 1.

WDAY-TV is owned by Fargo-based Forum Communications, which additionally owns The Forum. Forum Communications has been the native tv accomplice of NDSU athletics since 2021.

“We are excited by the possibility of continuing to produce and broadcast NDSU football across the state of North Dakota,” Rohrer mentioned.

If WDAY’s bid is profitable, the video games would probably be carried in North Dakota and western Minnesota on WDAY in Fargo and WDAZ in Grand Forks plus KBMY in Bismarck and KMCY in Minot. The video games may be broadcast by KNBN in Rapid City, South Dakota, and KSFL in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
