SRP Expands Entry to Free Swimming Lessons for Youngsters and Adults Throughout the Valley

Salt River Project (SRP) is partnering with native aquatic facilities throughout the Valley to offer free swimming classes for almost 30,000 kids and adults.

The initiative goals to extend swim proficiency and cut back drowning dangers, significantly in communities with restricted entry to formal swim schooling. Classes shall be provided at ten aquatic facilities in Tempe, Phoenix, Mesa and different cities.

“At SRP, keeping our community safe around water is a priority. While drowning rates declined last year, even one incident is too many, and we must continue that progress,” stated Rori Minor, neighborhood engagement strategist at SRP. “By partnering with local aquatic centers and water safety organizations, we help families stay safe in and around water.”

Swimming courses are actually being provided in collaborating aquatic facilities.
