River Bend college students reel within the enjoyable on Sleepy Eye fishing journey | News, Sports activities, Jobs

River Bend trainer Jennifer Isaac mentioned every grade received an opportunity to attempt their hand at fishing throughout the day. This was the primary time the varsity held a fishing area journey. The outing gave college students the prospect to study new abilities, spend time outside with pals and employees.

For a number of college students, this was their very first fishing expertise. One of the highlights got here from Brenton Malcom who mentioned, “I’m taking her home. She’s a keeper!” after reeling in some seaweed that shortly grew to become one joke of the day.

Despite the setbacks, he stayed decided and upbeat. Reflecting on his efficiency, Virkus mentioned “I went 4 for 16 today while fishing.”

Myia Stone summed up her fishing expertise, saying “[I am] basically a pro fisher woman.”

The fishing journey was finish of college yr celebrations. River Bend’s final day of sophistication is Thursday, June 4.
