Settlement Reached in Canada Artistic Swimming Class Motion

The settlement contains greater than $1 million in compensation and measures aimed toward strengthening athlete security and governance.

Davies acted professional bono within the class motion Chloé Isaac, et al. v Canada Artistic Swimming (CAS), representing former members of CAS’s three fundamental groups, specifically: the 13-15, junior and senior nationwide inventive swimming groups (the National Teams), who alleged abuse, neglect and/or psychological harassment whereas coaching with the group.

The events have reached a settlement, which obtained ultimate approval on May 12, 2026. The settlement gives greater than $1 million in monetary compensation to eligible athletes who suffered hurt whereas coaching with CAS’s National Teams and contains measures aimed toward strengthening athlete security and governance practices.
