Security Wing Deploys Hello-Tech Security Devices at Yatra Camps to Guarantee Pilgrim Security During SANJY-2026 | Kashmir Life

   

SRINAGAR: The Security Wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police has intensified safety preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 by deploying a variety of superior safety devices at Yatra camps to boost pilgrim security throughout the annual pilgrimage.

According to officers, the Security Wing has been outfitted with a variety of superior units to strengthen entry management and anti-sabotage measures throughout the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. The gear consists of Portable RCIED Jammers, Deep Search Metal Detectors, Explosive and Liquid Explosive Detectors, Non-Linear Junction Detectors (NLJDs), Contraband Busters, Prodder Vehicle Search Mirrors, Optical Fibrescopes, varied CCTV methods, XBIS scanners, Vehicle-Mounted XBIS items, Multi-Zone Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs), Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMDs), Search Metal Detectors and different specialised devices.

To assess operational preparedness forward of the pilgrimage, a bodily inspection and stay demonstration of the gear was held at Security Lines Kashmir, Batamaloo, on June 6 underneath the supervision of IGP Security, JK, Sujit Kumar Singh.

The demonstration was attended by DIG Security JK Rashmi Wazir, SO to IGP Security JK Rakesh Kumar, SSP Security Kashmir Sajjad Khaliq Bhat, SSP Technical VIP Security Khalid Amin and SSP STWS JK Mohammad Ibrahim.

During the train, officers demonstrated the capabilities of the gear in strengthening surveillance, screening, entry management and anti-sabotage operations at Yatra websites.
