Recently, I reconnected with a former company accomplice and good friend whom I’ve a ton of respect for.

The plan was easy.

Within minutes, we had been sketching frameworks, exchanging concepts, figuring out alternatives, and constructing the early foundations of one thing we might create collectively.

No pitch deck.

No formal agenda.

No gross sales course of.

Just two folks with mutual respect, shared experiences, and a real curiosity in constructing one thing.

It jogged my memory of one thing I’ve seen all through my profession.

There’s a giant distinction between curiosity and intent.

Lots of persons are .

They ask questions.
Want recommendation.
Pick your mind.
Explore potentialities.

Nothing unsuitable with that.

Curiosity is an efficient factor.

But intent feels completely different.

Intent reveals up able to construct.

Ready to commit.

Ready to place pores and skin within the sport.

Ready to maneuver from “that sounds interesting” to “let’s figure this out.”

I’ve realized to not decide both.

Everyone is on a unique timeline.

I simply attempt to acknowledge the distinction sooner.

Looking again, many of the greatest alternatives in my profession didn’t begin with contracts, titles, or enterprise plans.

They began with belief. Earned belief.

A shared viewpoint.

A willingness to do the work.

And a dialog that led someplace.
