STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford athletics has announced its ACC Top Six for Service Award recipients, with five student-athletes from four programs earning the honor. Nora Goodwillie (women’s rowing), Temple Landry (women’s gymnastics), Natalie Mannion (women’s swimming), Katherine Mote (women’s rowing) and Atira O’Neil (artistic swimming) received the accolade.

Goodwillie’s dedication to service is best exemplified in her leadership of Student-Athletes for Sustainability. She has led her peers in workshops on the subject, organized clothing drives and beach cleanups and advocated for sustainability withing the athletics department.

Landry is heavily involved in SAAC and Cardinal Community, creating service opportunities with both groups. She has supported Team IMPACT collaborations and led a card writing campaign for Stanford Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she has worked to help build a service group focused on assistive technologies for people with disabilities.

Mannion’s commitment to service is evident in her role as an ambassador for Team IMPACT. She has raised awareness for the organization and helped to increase the number of programs participating in the department, of which there are six active connections. She is also a member of Cardinal Community.

Mote is the co-director of Stanford’s service-focused student-athlete group. She has supported Team IMPACT and beach cleanups and is planning for AB Trees, an event focused on childhood literacy.

O’Neil has served as president of the SAAC executive team at Stanford, where she has championed community service for all student-athletes. O’Neil has used her academic background to interpret and communicate with native Spanish speakers to help support legal needs, as well as participating in AB Trees, clothing drives and in the letter writing for Stanford Children’s Hospital.
