DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Director of Swimming and Diving
Brian Barnes introduced Wednesday the addition of
Colin Gibson to the Blue Devils’ teaching employees forward of the upcoming 2026-27 season. Gibson involves Durham following three seasons as a scholar assistant with the University of Michigan swimming and diving crew.

During his time with the Wolverines, Gibson assisted the teaching employees, director of operations and student-athletes with each day capabilities of this system. His duties included attending apply classes, aiding in administrative actions and facility maintenance, together with serving to manage logistics and facilitate areas of crew journey. Gibson additionally assisted with the gathering and distribution of movie and served as a mentor to this system’s scholar managers.

In addition to his tenure on the University of Michigan, Gibson additionally spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the Club Wolverine swimming membership. There, he offered individualized instruction and mentorship to quite a few highschool student-athletes, whereas additionally collaborating with the teaching employees on technique, meet and apply setup and facility group.
