One of Crunch’s values is HAVE FUN. People do their finest work once they genuinely get pleasure from being a part of the staff round them. But one factor I’ve realized about “fun” at work is that everybody says they need it… till it is time to take part. 😆 Even so, I attempt to begin each all staff assembly with one thing that will get us speaking, lets our guard down just a little, and reminds us that work could be enjoyable.

In April, we hid Easter eggs all through the fitness center. Fun? Sure. Predictable? Yes.
This month, I made a decision to go along with the sudden.

A snowball struggle.
In June.
In San Antonio.
With actual snow.

For about 10 minutes, no one was excited about membership objectives, operational challenges, work orders, schedules, or any of the opposite issues that fill our days. They had been laughing like youngsters, working, and dodging snowballs.

Could we’ve skipped it and jumped straight into the assembly? Sure.
But years from now, no one goes to recollect slide 14 of a staff assembly presentation. They’ll bear in mind the time they’d a snowball struggle in Texas with their Crunch staff.

Those little moments matter. They create connection. They assist individuals let their guard down. They construct relationships that make the onerous work simpler and the wins extra significant.

FUN? I’d say Mission achieved…and I believe my staff would too. ❄️🐺
