State Rep. Joe Schomacker resigns, citing ‘new enterprise alternatives’ for the choice

A Minnesota lawmaker introduced he’s resigning from his place, citing new enterprise alternatives as the explanation for his departure.

State Representative Joe Schomacker (R) introduced Friday that he intends to step away from his place throughout the Minnesota House on June 21. For the final 16 years, Schomacker has been a member of the Minnesota House, most lately in House District 21A, which incorporates all or parts of Lincoln, Pipestone, Rock, Nobles, Murray and Cottonwood counties in Southwestern Minnesota.

“It has truly been an honor to represent the residents of southwestern Minnesota for the past 16 years, and I thank them for their support and encouragement,” Schomacker stated.
