Marked for More — Photography Exhibition 06/19/26 by means of 06/20/26

Marked for More is an immersive pictures exhibition, open for 2 days in New York City, revealing tales of orphan and deserted youth in post-communist Romania, ageing out of foster care. The exhibition is grounded within the perception that not each story survives in phrases. For younger adults raised in foster care, their id survives on their pores and skin, by means of the tattoos they did when there was nobody else to witness, no album to carry a reminiscence, no residence to anchor a future. 

From loss to hope, from vulnerability to resilience, these tales documented on pores and skin invite us to LOOK AGAIN and see past labels and acquainted narratives. 
Marked for More was photographed by acclaimed Romanian photographer, Alex Gâlmeanu. Alex has constructed his repute above all by means of portrait pictures, with an intensive physique of labor spanning editorial, style, promoting, documentary movie, and reveals in Europe and the US.
