Jake Shrum Employed as Swimming & Diving Affiliate Headvert Coach – University of South Carolina Athletics

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina swimming and diving head coach Jeff Poppell introduced Friday the hiring of Jake Shrum as affiliate head coach. Shrum will work with each the lads’s and girls’s applications.

A local of Charlottesville, Shrum started his teaching profession as an assistant coach with Fairview Swim Club and the Virginia Gators. He later turned the pinnacle coach at Albemarle High School. In 2013, he transitioned into collegiate teaching as a volunteer assistant at Virginia earlier than being employed at Towson.

Shrum earned a bachelor’s diploma in laptop science from Virginia in 2008. During his time at UVA, he was a member of the Cavaliers’ swimming program. He was a four-time varsity letter winner and a member of three ACC Championship groups.
