DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Decatur Bean Ballers are already a 3rd of the way in which by way of their inaugural season, bringing the sounds of summer season to town.
“We’re all working towards a common goal, and that goal is winning,” junior Carder Reich, a Millikin participant from Newton, Illinois, stated.
The Bean Ballers, like each staff within the Prospect League that features the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes and the Danville Dans, are made up of school gamers that simply need to play extra baseball.
“My dream is baseball. I just want to play baseball as long as I can and this is right here at my home field, I play for Millikin, and this is perfect,” junior Millikin participant Gage Reynolds stated.
The staff is made up of quite a lot of gamers from Illinois, blended in with others from every kind of backgrounds.
“I’m originally from the Dominican Republic. I was born and raised there, and now I get to meet people from Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, just great people from all around,” stated sophomore catcher Oneill Feliz. “It’s been a great experience for sure.”
All the gamers need is for residents to come back out and help the staff.
“It’s a great group of guys. Come here and you’re going to have a lot of fun. You can experience new things, maybe I’ll throw you a ball,” junior infielder Moises Fibrillet stated.
