More than 100 space youngsters take part in ‘World’s Largest Swimming Lesson’ at Serengeti Springs

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) – More than 100 kids from throughout the Pine Belt took half within the “World’s Largest Swimming Lesson” at Serengeti Springs.

The international occasion was hosted by park administration in partnership with Forrest Health to show water security and stop drownings.

Children between the ages of 1 and 4 have been taught swimming security protocols that would save their lives in an emergency.

“It’s very important that children, as well as their parents, are just up to speed on some basic water safety skills, whether those are taking swim lessons or just exposing their kids to water,” mentioned Demetric Kelly, director of visitor companies at Serengeti Springs. “Overall, it’s to make sure that we prevent drowning.”
