Capitol Hill tasting room to shut after 10 years, citing public security considerations

The homeowners of Aluel Cellars, a Capitol Hill tasting room, are closing the enterprise after 10 years in Seattle, citing public security considerations, rising prices, and a decline in foot site visitors as causes for the closure.

“I kept hoping things would turn around, that things would surprise me and change my mind,” Hilbert advised The Puget Sound Business Journal. “But we knew there was no way we could keep this going.”

As for Aluel Cellars’ different areas, Hilbert famous they’ve seen their justifiable share of “ups and downs,” resulting in a reputation change of its Ballard location to Après by Aluel, which Hilbert stated has helped enhance foot site visitors.
