HOMETOWN ENTERTAINMENT: July 4th celebrations throughout the area supply fireworks, meals and household enjoyable

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Roanoke’s Freedom Festival & Fireworks will happen Friday, July third from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at River’s Edge Park. The occasion options dwell music, a household enjoyable zone and meals vans, culminating in a fireworks show.

In Vinton, the 4th of July Celebration begins Saturday at 6 p.m. on the Vinton War Memorial. The occasion contains meals distributors, DJ music and fireworks at 9:30 p.m., co-hosted by Roanoke County.

The Salem Fair on the Salem Civic Center will function amusement rides, carnival video games, meals vans and dwell music. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

At Smith Mountain Lake, the twenty fourth annual Parkway Marina Fireworks Spectacular will likely be held Saturday, July 4th. Gates open at 5 p.m., with fireworks starting round 9:45 p.m. Admission is $10 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages 8-12, and free for kids 7 and below. The occasion raises funds for the Saunders Volunteer Fire Company.

Independence Day at Patrick Henry’s Red Hill in Brookneal will run Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The occasion options historic excursions, a studying of the “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech, dwell music, meals and fireworks at nightfall. Admission is $10 per automobile.
